groundskeepers.jpgWhen renting a part of several renting complexes/cluster of houses who have a common owner, these properties usually have a porter or groundskeeper who maintains and does all of the chores when you are away. If you choose not to have somebody inside your house without you around, try to negotiate with the landlord/owner so you can schedule convenient times. These people (porters/groundskeepers) are responsible for maintaining (repairing stuff inside the place that is part of the original contract excluding your stuff), sweeping pathways, shoveling snow and gathering trash from the many apartments. You should give a token or two to them though they may be paid as part of your rent. If you still do not want somebody into your house, you can hire a private maid who takes care of all the chores inside the house so you don’t get troubled by chores if you live a hectic life.
