inconveniencestoresThe influx of the much loved convenience store has forever transformed our lives with almost everything always within reach. These businesses make money by selling items at a premium which people want nonetheless, too lazy to go to the grocery they just came from or maybe simply too tired from the stresses of the day. These stores and even coffee shops litter the landscape at every street corner forever imprinted in our minds. Now have you ever thought of life without the nearest 7-11 or Starbucks for that matter, they number in the thousands of branches all over the globe. Why, because we love them so much, ready to provide our daily dose of caffeine and hot dogs within a few steps. Their absence will be a true inconvenience yet life would be less stressful indeed without them for they capitalize on one thing and one thing alone, our needs.
Take a look at people in Brazil, where some of the best coffee are grown, they love the drink and the fix that comes with it yet they don’t get it from the nearest Starbucks, they simply roast, grind and boil their beans to make their favorite drinks. In Ethiopia where the lowly coffee bean we all so love has been found to have originated, see any Starbucks catering to goats (they are credited with the discovery of the beans which they eat and get into a stupor for). These stores are very much needed yet also very much hated but we can use a little of our peace back, back when peace was common and we’d rather stay home instead of reach for that hot-dog, trimming our waistlines naturally deprived of the many junkfoods we stuff into our bodies. Peace, in your place or mine is something that should be cherished, with a cup of coffee that is!
