Many homes in the area are still without basic necessities such as power and water due to the storms that ravaged the area the past week. Damages to property are expected to rise to around $20 million and that is not something residents and renters can recover from due to the current financial crisis that is plaguing the industry. Around 175,000 homes and businesses in the area are still without power and they could take days for repair crews to get them back up and running. The only good news is that only one person was seriously injured when his trailer was tossed around by the storm and that the next week or so is forecast to get fair to good weather which would allow faster clean-up of the damage caused by the said storm.
