Apartment living during the economic difficulties experienced worldwide starting a few years ago has been greatly affected. First, vacancy rates began to rise then, as a result of rising vacancy rates, rent prices started to fall. The trend has continued year after year.
But there are some signs that apartment living is beginning to show some positive signs. For example, a positive absorption of vacant apartment units has been seen, compared to negative absorption rates years before. It will be interesting to note if things are actually starting to look positive for apartment living in the next couple of years.
